Well, as customers are slowly discovering, there’s a lot more to it than that…

B&M – dubbed as the new Woolies – has (thanks to its serious discounts) started to conquer Britain, selling affordable products to shoppers who are sick of paying over the odds.

Despite the growing retailer’s recent popularity, there’s still tonnes of things that people don’t yet know about the budget brand – get ready to swap your shopping basket for a full size trolley (or two)…


1. They Sell Huge Brands At CHEAPER Prices

B&M own products aren’t the only things you can find in store – you’ll find Kelloggs, Cadbury’s and Nescafe amongst others too – you’ll even find Victoria Secret!

Although it’s not widely advertised, according to the variety retailer’s website, any customers who purchase large furniture items or gardening products are eligible for home deliver!

7. Some Items Are Non-Refundable

Did you know that some of the items they sell in B&M stores are not refundable? B&M doesn’t give refunds on large items of furniture, tobacco, lottery purchases, music, videos, DVDs & computer games.

According to the retailer’s website it says:

“We do not accept returns on large items of furniture or large household appliances, unless they are faulty.”

So, it’s best to check and make sure you want things before you take them home!

8. They Teamed Up With Weight Watchers

B&M recently teamed up with Weight Watchers so shoppers could get their hands on healthier meals without having to pay through the nose at supermarkets. Some of their most popular items include the Weight Watcher Steamer, £19.99 , the Weight Watchers Health Fryer £49.99 and the Weight Watchers Power Juicer, £29.99.

There’s also a 2 in 1 blender that would come in handy for anyone looking to make their own protein shakes or fruit smoothies at home.

9. Look Out For ‘Manager Specials’

If you have a look in your local B&M store, you’ll find a section dedicated to what the retailer calls its ‘Manager Specials’, currently including reduced cereals, candles and air fresheners, the section changes regularly to offer you the latest deals.

12. There Are Designer Replicas In Store

B&M has launched its own Jo Malone look-alike (and – we can vouch – smell-alike) candles that come in a variety of colours, sizes and scents. The candles cost £14.99 for the larger size or £6.99 for the smaller candles while the 500ml reed diffuser costs £12.99 – that’s just a fraction of the real Jo Malone ones.

13. You Can’t Pay With American Express

B&M allows customers to pay with debit, credit card or cash except for American Express. So make sure you don’t take your AmEx there cause they won’t accept it!

14. They Sell Gluten Free Ranges

Anyone who needs to eat gluten-free food will be aware that – for some reason – pastas, sauces, breads (you name it) are always more expensive than ‘normal’ food.

But, thanks to B&M Bargains gluten free range, gluten intolerant customers are able to get some slightly cheaper options.
