Secrets You Need To Know When Shopping At B&M Bargains…
What do you think of when you think of B&M Bargains? Cheaply priced cleaning products and low-cost loo roll?
Well, as customers are slowly discovering, there’s a lot more to it than that…
B&M – dubbed as the new Woolies – has (thanks to its serious discounts) started to conquer Britain, selling affordable products to shoppers who are sick of paying over the odds.
Despite the growing retailer’s recent popularity, there’s still tonnes of things that people don’t yet know about the budget brand – get ready to swap your shopping basket for a full size trolley (or two)…
1. They Sell Huge Brands At CHEAPER Prices
B&M own products aren’t the only things you can find in store – you’ll find Kelloggs, Cadbury’s and Nescafe amongst others too – you’ll even find Victoria Secret!
2. You Can Even Grab Some Gym Wear
As summer is on the horizon and the health kicks kick in again – ahem… for some of us – many of us are on the hunt for brand new, gym gear – exercising in baggy, torn leggings just isn’t doing the job.
Cue B&M… offering budget (and flattering) gym clothes – they’ve got your back!
3. They Sell The BEST Sweets!
Channelling their inner Woolworths, B&M take us all down a walk on memory lane, offering small, medium and large tubs of Pick N Mix (there’s no question which size we’re going for).
4. They’re Pet-Friendly
They don’t just do brands, clothing and sweets, B&M sell dog and cat products too for all your furry friend’s needs…
5. B&M Sell Furniture

6. You Can Get Home Delivery
Although it’s not widely advertised, according to the variety retailer’s website, any customers who purchase large furniture items or gardening products are eligible for home deliver!
7. Some Items Are Non-Refundable
Did you know that some of the items they sell in B&M stores are not refundable? B&M doesn’t give refunds on large items of furniture, tobacco, lottery purchases, music, videos, DVDs & computer games.
According to the retailer’s website it says:
“We do not accept returns on large items of furniture or large household appliances, unless they are faulty.”
So, it’s best to check and make sure you want things before you take them home!
8. They Teamed Up With Weight Watchers
B&M recently teamed up with Weight Watchers so shoppers could get their hands on healthier meals without having to pay through the nose at supermarkets. Some of their most popular items include the Weight Watcher Steamer, £19.99 , the Weight Watchers Health Fryer £49.99 and the Weight Watchers Power Juicer, £29.99.
There’s also a 2 in 1 blender that would come in handy for anyone looking to make their own protein shakes or fruit smoothies at home.
9. Look Out For ‘Manager Specials’
If you have a look in your local B&M store, you’ll find a section dedicated to what the retailer calls its ‘Manager Specials’, currently including reduced cereals, candles and air fresheners, the section changes regularly to offer you the latest deals.
12. There Are Designer Replicas In Store
B&M has launched its own Jo Malone look-alike (and – we can vouch – smell-alike) candles that come in a variety of colours, sizes and scents. The candles cost £14.99 for the larger size or £6.99 for the smaller candles while the 500ml reed diffuser costs £12.99 – that’s just a fraction of the real Jo Malone ones.
13. You Can’t Pay With American Express
B&M allows customers to pay with debit, credit card or cash except for American Express. So make sure you don’t take your AmEx there cause they won’t accept it!
14. They Sell Gluten Free Ranges
Anyone who needs to eat gluten-free food will be aware that – for some reason – pastas, sauces, breads (you name it) are always more expensive than ‘normal’ food.
But, thanks to B&M Bargains gluten free range, gluten intolerant customers are able to get some slightly cheaper options.
15. Not Every Store Sells Everything
B&M has stores in a lot of cities, however, some are only home stores while other offer full ranges. Just check online where your nearest superstore is and make sure to check what type of store it is too!
14. They Have Garden Centres
Places like B&Q can be quite expensive, so B&M could be the perfect place to buy your garden furniture. You can buy anything from garden sheds to wheelbarrows to compost – They have most things!
15. Their Bedding Is Good Quality
We know what you’re thinking… cheap price = cheap quality, right?
Well, B&M has a huge range of bedding and if you look closer at the materials these products are made from, you’ll find no difference between their bedding and the likes of John Lewis – except, of course, the price.
16. Check The Baskets
You might have noticed the random baskets on the aisles….
Well, you should always keep an eye on them because they’re always full of discounted products and sometimes this is where the biggest savings can be made!
17. The Most Important TIP – Don’t Rush Through The Store!
B&M want you to benefit from their bargains, so the very best are at the front of the store – where you walk in – so, take your time when you first go into the store.
