46. Staten Island’s Tragedy!
In August 2006, Staten Island resident Frantz Bordes drowned his two children in a bathtub, before ending his own life by jumping in front of a train.

Police investigating the tragedy discovered notes in his wallet and by his bed which were written in English and Creole, describing a curse placed upon him by a relative. Bordes even wrote in his suicide note that his relative – who is a known witch – had placed a curse on him!
