Annee Palmer was very young when her parents died from yellow fever – as a result, she was adopted by a nanny, who from an early age taught her witchcraft and voodoo. When she was older she moved to Jamaica and married John Palmer, the owner of Rose Hall Plantation.

Things turned sour when she murdered Palmer and the next two men brave enough to wed her. Over the years Annee also killed many of the plantations slaves and after being murdered herself by a slave named “Takoo”, the witch’s spirit is believed to wander the plantation. What goes around comes around, right?
