A rat who liked to cook stuff in the Michelin star restaurants of Paris – besides the obvious health and safety violations, the film seems pretty innocent – right?
Wrong! There’s a scene where the Head Chef Skinner sees Linguini messing around in the pantry. Linguini says he’s familiarising himself with vegetables, to which Skinner replies:
“Get out! One can get too familiar with vegetables, you know!”
Whatever he meant by that, it’s probably worth opting for a home-cooked meal tonight…
9. Linguini’s little problem in ‘Ratatouille’
How do you explain to someone that a rat’s been helping you cook 5-star rated food? By making a joke about your privates, of course. “I have this tiny, little…little…” says Linguini, when trying to explain his Remy situation to Collette.
The female chef promptly takes a quick glance at his junk.
