60% of the adult body is made of water

A human can survive for up to 3 weeks without food, up to 11 days without sleep, but only 3-4 days without water. Water is critical to the human body.

At 5%, one might experience fainting. 10% is enough for severe dehydration and death. Drink up!

If you’ve ever been to a loud bar or club, you might be familiar with the experience of your ears feeling full.

In fact, a little muscle in the ear – the tensor tympani – contracts when a loud noise happens. It protects your ears involuntarily. Some people can even control the muscle themselves, blocking out noise!

    1. You can’t tickle yourself

It can feel pleasant to let your hand drift over your skin, but you can’t incite that same reaction as when someone else tickles you. This is because your brain recognises where your hand is going to touch before it does it. This doesn’t happen when another person tickles you.
