However they also try to monitor the behaviour of the applicant by ensuring they aren’t photographed with other girls/boys in night clubs for example.
Digging up dirt
They also do extensive research into the applicant’s background, looking for things that may be of use.

This may include talking to friends and looking through social media to find anything that could be used in the show.
Too much information
Producers may hint at anything they find out to the celebs, to make the dates more entertaining. Definitely not like a normal date then!
