On the show we only see a few minutes into a mixer or a couple’s date.
Lengthy dates
In reality, the mixers can go on for hours and often last all day! That is a long meet and greet.

And with the amount of drinking that must happen over those hours, there’s probably drunken moments that don’t get on camera! As well as several toilet trips.
Full dates
The dates are also much longer than seen on tv. Of course we didn’t expect them to only be 10 minutes long!

Dates can take 2-3 hours as they are provided with drinks and dinner. However there are also breaks in filming and things that might make the “date” longer.
Not what it seems
The dates are very controlled as pieces may be reshot, lighting altered, and everything is monitored as it happens. Other than that, it’s just like any other date!
