The 90s was a glorious time. We had some of the best music out there, obviously we had the best fashion but most of all we were born into the beginning of the digital revolution. Whilst we spent a lot of our time playing outside as kids, we also spent a fair share of our time inside. Here are 12 things that we would find in every single house back in the day.

This will definitely take you on a trip down memory lane. Enjoy!

1. L’Oreal

There was absolutely nothing more painful than getting this in your eye. We have all had the struggle of the soap suds from this shampoo going straight in our eye. It actually felt like acid was in your eyes!

2. These Tracy Beaker magazines

Every single magazine that came out – we just HAD to buy. They had the little storage folders too so we could have all our magazines on show!

3. Pop Princess CD

We all absolutely loved buying CDs when we were younger. We bought ALL of the ‘Now That’s What I Call Music’ CD’s and there were the odd few other favourites that we couldn’t resist. Remember even making our own CDs?!

4. Blockbuster DVDs we forgot to take back

Every single Friday night we ended up going to Blockbusters and renting a film. But, every single time we took it back too late and ended up with a ridiculous amount of late fees. There was nothing more irritating than wasting a ton of money in Blockbusters!

5. Dance Mats

If there was one thing that was guaranteed to make a sleepover incredible, it was these dance mats. There was nothing we loved more than showing off our dance mat skills… not that any of us had any half decent skills! Either way, this provided hours of fun for everyone!

6. All the Harry Potter books

If there was one set of books we just HAD to have when we were younger. It was the Harry Potter books. We went out of our way to read all of these books back in the day! Apparently there is another two books that are due to come out at the end of this year… how do you feel about that?!

7. Bop It

If there was one game we were all amazing at, it was Bop It. The amount of hours we spent on this was absolutely ridiculous. There was nothing funnier than watching the amount of stress people got into with this! You were so annoyed when you were doing so well and you accidentally hit the wrong one!

8. Singstar

There was always one song on Singstar that we absolutely had down to a tee. We were all awful at singing, but this made us truly believe that we should apply for the next series of X-Factor. This was another classic that was brought out at every single sleepover!

9. These stress balls

I think we can all admit that we never had anything to be stressed about when we were younger. But, we were obsessed with these as kids. So, we never knew what these were filled up with until the dreaded day that they decided to pop. There was actually nothing that irritated mum’s more than having to clean up the contents of one of these once they burst absolutely everywhere.

10. Calpol

If there was one thing we absolutely loved when we were younger, it was Calpol. I know that this was only meant for us when we were ill, but why would they make something so delicious?! They honestly need to make a drink that is flavoured like Calpol because the taste of it is really something else. This brings back so many memories from growing up… I used to pretend I was ill to my mum just so she’d give me some Calpol… how naughty is that?!

11. Golden Nuggets

We honestly had some of the best cereal ever when we were younger. We had so many different boxes to choose from and we wanted them all. Golden Nuggets and Weetos were some of the best on offer. Do you remember the variety boxes of cereal too? Me and my brother used to have so many arguments over who could have which box when we were younger.

12. Greens cake packet mix

We all used to be obsessed with making these little cakes when we were younger. There was nothing more fun than cooking up a storm when it was raining outside. We always made the icing way too runny though, didn’t we?
