Ah, GCSEs. Those exams which your whole high school education had been leading up to (and the teachers wouldn’t stop banging on about them, would they?). The excitement trying to work out where you’d be sat based on your alphabetical name, and being highly interested in the hair of the person sat in front of you (extra points if it was long and distracting).

And then the sheer terror we can all universally agree about when you got that little brown envelope (and I feel sorry for those guys who open theirs on live TV…).
