Is It Possible To Pass The Ultimate Disney Quiz?

We’ve seen the films, listened to the songs and planned our trip to Disneyland but can we pass this ultimate Disney quiz?

From 7 years old, singing “I just can’t WAIT to be king” to 17 years old singing “Let it gooo, let it goooo” we will inevitably still be bopping along to Disney songs for the rest of our lives. And we’ll love every. single. second.

Entering the Disney universe as a child was like entering a whole new world.

Providing us with the bare necessities, Mr Disney went from zero to hero in our eyes as he took us under the sea, on a Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride and into Arabian Nights; all with a spoonful of sugar to help us on our way.

We learnt that a dream is a wish your heart makes, and our wish was undoubtedly to pack our bags and head to Disneyland as we knew we’d try everything to get there – including begging our parents mercilessly every day for literally years.

Once upon a dream, we thought we would grow up to find Prince Charming or a girl worth fighting for but really, we’re all just un poco loco.

Luckily, with the circle of life, the classic Disney films from our childhood are now being taken from animated movies to live-action remakes and whilst we might now be in our twenties, if you think we won’t be on the front-row with popcorn, sobbing to the new Lion King then you are sorely mistaken. We’re ready to relive the classics all over again.

Before his rise to fame, Walter Elias Disney was actually born in Chicago, where he took art classes and bagged a job as a commercial illustrator at the age of just 18.

Moving to California in the early 1920s, with his brother Roy, the pair set up the Disney Brothers Studio before Walt later developed what is now the symbol of the entire franchise; Mickey Mouse.

The success of Disney grew with films from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Pinocchio and Dumbo to later Cinderella and Mary Poppins (which won FIVE academy awards).

Then came the creation of the happiest place on earth and in 1955, the gates of Disneyland opened for the first time.

In his own words:

“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”

“Why worry? If you’ve done the very best you can, then worrying won’t make it any better.”

Well, we’re definitely down with that Hakuna Matata attitude but it’s time to dig a little deeper into the details of the Disney films.

Starting with Snow White, we’ve seen a whole range of Disney princesses, Disney characters, Disney movies, Disney animations and well, pretty much everything Disney!

If you’re nodding along then you must think you’re a connoisseur of all things House of Mouse.

But just how much have you been paying attention to the to subtler details? Will you bring honour to us all or do you only know the bare necessities? It’s time to find out…
