The Top Gear presenter didn’t go into too much detail but admitted “an operation went wrong” after his friend and co-star Paddy McGuinness compared him to James Bond villain Francisco Scaramanga as he revealed the surprising news during a chaotic daytime interview.

Speaking on ITV’s This Morning on Tuesday (21.01.20) after partying at the show’s season premiere the night before, Paddy said:

‘I’m not joking, he had me on the floor in a headlock.

‘And I’m not joking, our representatives – who, let’s be fair, like a drink – were ordering him to leave the room. That’s how bad it were!

‘He’s an animal, this lad, honestly. And he’s only got one nipple… Nothing there. I think it’s good, it’ll be on your Wikipedia page’.

Chris looked sheepish as he sarcastically thanked his co-star for making the revelation on national television, while Paddy joked he was “fascinated by it”.

The pair also opened up on how their fellow presenter Freddie Flintoff – who bungee jumps in a car during the new series – always seems to be the one taking on the toughest challenges on the motoring show.

    Paddy laughed:

‘Fred goes full on into it because Fred thinks because it’s on telly it’s safe… It don’t work like that’.

The Take Me Out host appeared a little worse for wear on the programme, and he claimed he realised the night before was going too far when he asked the BBC’s departing director-general Lord Tony Hall to buy some shots.

    He quipped:

‘I knew I was flying too close to the sun when I was on stage at the Leicester Square Odeon saying to the director-general of the BBC, “Get the sambucas in, son!”‘
