Sarah Beeny has been on our screens for over two decades now, presenting popular home renovation and property development shows like Property Ladder, Property Snakes and Ladders, and Help! My House Is Falling Down.

Before she became a Channel 4 star, though, Sarah Beeny had her own successful property development business with her husband and her brother.

The entrepreneur comes from a property-loving family – her mother was an architect.

Over the years, Sarah Beeny has made a fortune with a combination of her property shows and her own property business. But exactly how much is Sarah Beeny’s net worth?

Sarah Beeny got her big break in 2001 when she met a TV talent hunter at a hen party, who asked if she would like to screen test for a new Channel 4 home show.

This led to the successful Property Ladder, which Sarah hosted for seven series. After this, Sarah became the face for many more home shows on the network.

Sarah Beeny’s net worth has also grown thanks to her savvy property-development skills. In 2019, she sold the Grade II-listed Rise Hall in East Yorkshire for £1.4 million.

But exactly how much money does Sarah Beeny have?

In fact, Sarah Beeny’s net worth is valued at approximately $3 million or £2.2 million. The property developer is also the co-founder of the online dating site mysinglefriend.com.

Sarah followed up her sale of Rise Hall by putting her London mansion on the market for the eye-watering sum of £3.5 million. The presenter bought the home for just £480,000 in 2005, meaning even with inflation she’s made an immense sum.

After the sales of her houses (which must have contributed massively to Sarah Beeny’s net worth), the presenter made the move with her family to Somerset.

She’s bought a dairy farm with land and is busy building the perfect family home for her husband and four boys.

    Who is Sarah Beeny?

Sarah Beeny got her first experience in property development when she was just 24 years old. She set up a company with her husband, Graham Swift, and her brother, Diccon.

This was after many years of working a variety of jobs including as a window cleaner, selling vacuum cleaners, and managing a sandwich-making business.

She spent years studying the property market at weekends, seeing it as her way to a successful career – and she was right.

Alex Partakis: Who is Heidi Range’s Husband?

Though they went into business together when she was 24, Sarah knew her husband Graham from the age of 19. They moved in together after just two weeks and bought a flat together after three months.

The TV star admits that though they’ve now been together for 30 years, she and her husband don’t tell each other ‘I love you.’

Sarah explained: “We have other ways of saying it. It’s a bit of a standing joke, but it started about 30 years ago and once something’s set for 30 years, you can’t change that.

But we do tell the kids we love them.”

The couple has four kids together: Billy, 17, Charlie, 15, Rafferty, 13, and Laurie, 12.

A New Life in the Country

Viewers have been steadily tuning in to Sarah’s new show, A New Life in the Country, to get a glimpse into the TV star’s family life.

The show followed Sarah, Graham, and their children as they swapped life in London for life in Somerset. After buying land and a dairy farm, they set about building their perfect family home.

At the end of the first series, which ended in December 2020, viewers saw how Sarah finally completed the building work on their extravagant country home. However, fans will have to wait for the second series to see how Sarah decks out the interiors.

Sarah said that she was apprehensive of how her children would react to a move to the sticks, but she says they’re doing well.

“We have been so lucky with how well they’ve settled, I’m almost pinching myself.

With four kids you’d expect one to be miserable. I was worried about my 15-year-old, he was such a London kid, then suddenly he’s in the middle of a farm in Somerset. But they’ve all really blossomed.”
