Rhodes Robert’s father is called Garett Hedlund, and he’s just as famous. He’s an American actor, model and singer so he really is an all round talent, not to mention he’s been pretty popular because of his looks too. The star’s big name films include Troy, Friday Night Lights, Eragon and many more.

In around March 20, 2019 Emma Roberts started dating Garret Hedlund. Not long before, she had split up with her long-term boyfriend and fiance. And so, when she started dating Hedlund she had not even yet confirmed the split with her previous boyfriend.

Pregnancy
In June 2022 the rumours started that Emma Roberts was pregnant. However, there were no confirmations that this was true from wither of the stars. In fact, the forst person to let the news sleip officially was her mother. Who, announced it on Instagram and the quickly removed and deleted the post.
When it all came out, the couple spoke about how they felt. Initially, they were completely in shock because the pregnancy was not planned but in fact a total suprise. After time to adjust the pair were over the mood. Garret also felt that having a child was going to be the start of him being responsible.
Having Rhodes Robert in the Pandemic
Rhodes Robert was born in 2020, which of cuorse, was the worst year for the pandemic. When, there were the toughest restrictions. First time parenthood is hard, particularly without the help and support of loved ones.
A Source said to PEOPLE:
“Having a newborn in the pandemic has been a lot harder than either of them expected, but they’re really, really trying their best to figure things out.”
“Garrett totally stepped it up after Emma was still recovering after giving birth. He made sure that their house was stocked with things that Emma liked and needed so she felt comfortable. She’s just starting to get back into a more ‘normal’ routine.”

The Split
The couple had been together almost 3 years when they finally decided to split. It wasn’t exactly that the relationship had fizzled out. But, the two of them were having frequent disagreements. And, Roberts had given her boyfriend at the time multiple ultimatums. Which, he clearly did not follow up on.
It is known that Garret has had struggles with alcohol in the past. And, this was definitely a part of the reason that the couple had to break up.

A source told US weekly that:
“Garrett and Emma have a great co-parenting relationship. When he’s sober, he’s a great guy and they’ve been handling co-parenting very well.”
Just one day after the break up was officially announced to the public, Garrett was taken to custody. He had been publically intoxicated and picked up by the police. This is not the only time. He has also been arrested for driving under the influence, he was so drunk that he actually passed out in the car whilst carrying a passenger. And, he has had to seek treatment for his alcoholism.
