Perri Kiely’s career has gone from strength to strength. From just being a young teen on Britain’s Got Talent with Diversity to being a runner-up on Dancing on Ice, the dancer has gained so many fans who love his bright personality and humour.
Anyone who has followed Perri since his days on Britain’s Got Talent also knows that he’s been a little bit unlucky in love. The 26-year-old appeared on Celebs Go Dating in 2017, but nothing came from his dates.

How did Perri Kiely and Laura Meet?
In 2020, Perri Kiely joined the celebrity cast for series 12 of Dancing on Ice, paired with German professional ice skater Vanessa Bauer. The pair found their stride right away and became fan favourites.
In the final of the show, Perri became the first-ever contestant to accomplish a backflip on the ice – a move that has actually been banned in professional skating.
However, this failed to cinch him the crown, and he lost to Joe Swash. In a message to fans after the final, he said: “When I first started the show and when I first got asked to do the show I wanted to make sure that I pushed myself as much as I can and I wanted to do stuff that has never been done before on the ice.
You know, Vanessa and all the coaches and literally everyone behind the scenes, everyone is so great. I honestly feel like I’ve achieved everything that I wanted to and more.”

However, it turned out that Perri had achieved more than he ever hoped to on Dancing on Ice, as that was also where he met his now-girlfriend, Laura Smith.
The Diversity star revealed the news on his KISS Breakfast show in August 2020, after the two had been dating for a few months.
He sounded evidently relieved to share such happy news, saying: “I feel energised! It’s off my chest! It’s taken me 24 years and a global pandemic…. But I got there in the end.”
Who is Laura?
So, we know that Perri Kiely and Laura met while Perri was doing Dancing on Ice, but what does she do?
In fact, Laura works in television as a production assistant. She happened to be working on Dancing on Ice when Perri joined the cast, so it was pure luck that the two met.
Lucky also that Perri managed to get to the final, as the two had many weeks to get to know each other!
Perri explained: “It’s crazy to be honest. I don’t think I was expecting to find Laura at all, actually.
I met her on Dancing on Ice and after we kind of stayed in touch and ever since then it’s been going from strength to strength, which is really cool.”

Perri Diversity: What Is The Britain’s Got Talent Star Doing Now?
Serious fans of the Diversity dancer will also know that Laura is his very first girlfriend. Now, Perri has also revealed that his mum was seriously happy that her son had finally found someone.
He said: “She’s literally my first ever girlfriend, which is insane, but my mum is super happy because she’s been desperate for me to find someone for ages.”

But what has happened to the other famous members of Diversity?
Ashley Banjo is arguably the most recognisable member of the troupe, and he’s definitely had success in relationships. He’s been in a long term relationship with his girlfriend, Francesca Abbott, for more than 15 years.
The two first met when they were teenagers in 2006. They bonded over their interest in dance: at the time, Ashley was leader of Diversity and Francesa danced for another troupe called Out of the Shadows.

They got married in 2015 in Essex, and have two children: a daughter called Rose and a son called Micah Grace.
Ashley’s brother, Jordan Banjo, is now also known for co-hosting the KISS Breakfast show with Perri Kiely. He has also been with his girlfriend for a long time: since 2013.
Ashley and Naomi have two children: Cassius and Mayowa.
