Who is Daniel Versace?
Daniel Versace is Donatella Versace’s youngest child. His father is Paul Beck, a model, however, Daniel Versace’s parents divorced in 2000. Daniel was born in 1989 and grew up just outside Milan, Italy with his mother and sister Allegra, who is three years older.
Daniel Versace’s sister Allegra attended The British School of Milan. However, it’s not clear if Daniel followed in her footsteps.
Whereas his sister, Allegra, remains partly in the spotlight as part of the fashion house Versace, that’s not the case for Daniel Versace. In fact, he’s stayed almost entirely out of the spotlight. According to reports, though, he is now a musician.

The 31-year-old Daniel Versace has continued to keep his life closely guarded. At the same time, Allegra has become a huge name within their family fashion house.
Of course, the family name has been shadowed by the brutal murder of the Versace creator, Gianni Versace.
We do know that after the Versace owner’s death, Daniel Versace inherited his uncle’s art collection. At the time, the collection had a value of £37 million, but this is expected to be much higher now.
The collection even includes two pieces by Pablo Picasso.
Allegra Versace
We know a little more about Daniel Versace’s sister, Allegra Versace.
When her uncle Gianni died, Allegra received 50% ownership of the Versace fashion house. At the time, Allegra was just 11 years old.
Ultimately, she didn’t receive her shares until her 18th birthday. Even then, Allegra waited until she was 24 before starting formal work at the company.

We also know a little more about Allegra’s younger years. After attending school in Milan, she enrolled at Brown University. After this, she attended the University of Southern California where she studied French, art history, and theatre.
In 2007, while she was studying at Brown University, her father Paul Beck publicly addressed his daughter’s health. According to Paul, Allegra had struggled with anorexia. However, she was currently receiving medical help and “responding well.”
Her studies clearly influenced her career. The 35-year-old now works as a director at Versace, but in the past has also worked in New York City as a theatrical dresser.
The Assassination of Gianni Versace
On July 15th, 1997, Gianni Versace was murdered in front of his home in Miami by serial killer Andrew Phillip Cunanan.
After Allegra and Daniel Versace heard the news, Allegra received counselling. Of the two Versace siblings, she was the closest with her uncle – hence her receiving a huge proportion of the fashion house on his death.
At the time of Gianni’s death, the Versace family were preparing for a fashion show in Rome. Allegra and Daniel Versace were watching cartoons in their hotel room when they saw a news segment announcing that their uncle had died.

Speaking about that traumatic day, Donatella said: “You know the first thing I did when I heard the news, the day he died? I ran to the room where my children were, to turn off the TV.
But I wasn’t quick enough, and they were watching their uncle covered in blood, and they were asking me why. I had to be strong for the company. But most of all I had to be strong for the family. People thought I wasn’t a warm person, but I was just trying to keep myself together.”
Gianni’s death has recently been covered on FX’s American Crime Story series. However, the family weren’t particularly pleased with their depiction in The Assassination of Gianni Versace.
In a formal statement, they urged viewers to consider the series as a work of fiction. However, Donatella Versace did tell Penelope Cruz she was happy with the actress playing her in the crime series.
