The award winning author and journalist Dolly Alderton was penning a dating column for the Sunday Times, producing stories for E4’s Made in Chelsea and co-presenting the chart topping podcast The High Low, all at the age of 29!
But it’s not her column, her MIC connection or her podcasting career that is Dolly’s most renowned achievement – her first book Everything I Know About Love not only became a bestseller, but also won a National Book Award for Autobiography of the Year.

She’s Got A New Book Coming Out…
Yes, you read that right… Dolly has book number two being launched in October 202o. Titled Ghosts, the novel is based on the life of fictional character Nina Dean. She’s a successful food writer with a massive online following, but whose life is slowly falling apart.
She’s Been To Therapy And Encourages You To Go Too!
In her first book, Dolly explained that a friend of hers went to therapy for a couple of years and she saw her ‘bloom like a flower’. Towards the end of the book, the writer explains that she began a stint of therapy and it ran from the awkwardness of the early days in the therapist’s office to the hours of hysterically crying once you get the hang of opening up.

She explained that a lifetime of anxiety had got on top of her:
“I was putting it to the back of my mind. Then it would find me on very lonely or low nights.”
