Carol Vorderman is known for hosting the Channel 4 game show Countdown, for 26 years, and also appeared on Loose Women and Strictly Come Dancing.
However, owing to her good looks and fans are often shocked when they find out the real age of the seasoned TV presenter.

The presenter was one of the youngest women ever admitted to Cambridge University at the time when she started studying engineering at the university in 1978.
She ended up getting a third-class degree and got a graduate job as a junior civil engineer at Dinoreig Power Station in Llanberis, Wales.
Before she signed on to host Countdown at just 21 years old, she also worked as a graduate management trainee in Leeds.

Though Vorderman has always been healthy and active, even releasing a range of diet books, there is another secret to her healthy looks at age 60.
This year, she said that she has had botox, saying: “My secret is Botox, probably! But it’s not so much of a secret, is it? Everyone does it. Name me a person over the age of 50 on the telly that doesn’t do it?”

Recently, fans have questioned whether the 60-year-old has had any other surgery done. Vorderman has frequently been photographed in body-hugging outfits, showing off her undeniable curves and young features.
However, Vorderman has insisted that she’s had no surgery done, saying, “I promise I haven’t had bottom implants. It’s the same old bottom.”
Her TV Career
According to Vorderman, she would never have got her first TV job on Countdown had her mum not intervened.
At the time, the presenter was living with her mum in Leeds. When Edwina Jean spotted an ad in the paper advertising for a presenter on a new Channel 4 show, she applied for her daughter.

Vorderman said:
“Unknown to me, she wrote a letter to the studio pretending to be me, put a copy of my graduation photo in, and forged my signature. After she sent it, she told me what she’d done!
I got given the job straight off the bat – I didn’t even step foot in a studio. It was the most weird process, we never thought we’d be making so many shows.”
After 26 years, Vorderman left the show in December 2008 with then-host Des O’Connor. Three years later, she joined the cast of Loose Women, co-hosting with Andrea cLean.
However, she quit in 2014, citing other work commitments.
How Many Children Does She Have?
Vorderman married her first husband in 1985, aged 24, but the relationship only lasted a year.
She married her second husband, management consultant Patrick King, in 1990, and had two children.

Daughter Katie was born in 1992 and son Cameron followed in 1997.
Her children definitely share their mother’s intelligence. Katie studied a PhD in Nanotechnology at Cambridge and has worked for NASA, while Cameron has recently begun a Masters in animation in Dundee.
However, her son has previously had a difficult time in school.
Vorderman has opened up about her son’s difficulties with severe dyslexia and ADD. He went to a specialist school for four years.
Sadly, Vordermand and King split in 2000. She dated broadcaster Des Kelly on-and-off between 2001 and 2010 but has now been single for over a decade.
The TV star has also said she has no plans to re-marry. Commenting on her single lifestyle at age 60, she said:
“I’m single and, yes, I am dating. Would I marry again? Honestly, I just can’t see it.
I am always on the move and I have a pretty low boredom threshold. My happiness doesn’t depend on being part of a couple, I know that.”
