That’s not all he’s known for, though.  Of course, famously, he is a Top Gear presenter, and that’s probably where we’ve seen him on our TV screens the most. He’s not only known for that, because he has a prolific media career and has been majorly involved in the entertainment industry. This includes releasing books, a documentary, and he was even on the Australian version of I’m a Celeb!

Flintoff was crowned king of the Jungle in March 2015, and was in competition with the likes of Chrissie Swan and Barry Hall. When he won, he told The Express:

“As an Englishman winning something in Australia, it’s unheard of. I’m shocked. I’m stuck for words a little bit. I never expected to get this far. It’s a lot to take in really. I am shocked, surprised, pleased.”

In 2020, he published his self help book called ‘Right, Said Fred’ which follows his book ‘Do You Know What?’ which came out in 2015. Through the success of his books, he is known as a best selling author and his new book discusses the highs and lows experienced in the year of 2020.

Freddie has also recently released a documentary about his experience with bulimia and his struggle with anorexia as a child. This was broadcasted in September 2020. He told the BBC:

“It’s an ongoing process for me. And I think if I had help earlier on, then maybe I wouldn’t still be living with an eating disorder now. Thinking about the impact it’s had on my life makes me really sad.”
