AJ Pritchard slept naked in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! castle

The 27-year-old dancer has revealed the campmates slept under heat lamps as the castle in north Wales had no central heating, but the lighting became too hot at times and he had to strip off to cool down.
Speaking on his ‘AJ vs Curtis’ podcast, his brother Curtis Pritchard asked:
‘You were sleeping naked one night weren’t you?’.
AJ explained:
‘OK, so we had heat lamps above and you probably couldn’t see on camera. So the heat lamps would maybe turn on at about 2am and about 5am to make it feel warm in the sleeping areas.
‘So one night I went to bed thinking, “Oh My God I’m going to be absolutely freezing,” so I put on a million layers, and had a hot flush at four or 5am’.
It comes after a representative of Gwrych Castle revealed there are no amenities in the historic building, leaving the celebrities to fend for themselves in the cold winter weather.
They said:
‘There’s no central heating at the castle. It has no mains electricity or running water’.

However, the former Strictly Come Dancing star didn’t think the heat lamps were necessary and admitted the experience would have been more “exciting” without them.
He added:
‘No I don’t think they should have put the heat lamps in there. I think you would have got a lot more… I don’t want to say drama, but a lot more excitement from the fact you would have been struggling’.
AJ narrowly missed out on the final when he left the camp in sixth place last week, but he loved being a part of the show after watching it when he was younger.
He said:
‘Walking into the castle, and especially meeting everybody, you don’t know what to expect. You watch a show as a super fan for so many years … It’s been so much better. Even the trials!
‘You don’t know how you’re going to react when you’re thrown into it but yeah. Loved it’.
