NBC have released the official key art for the upcoming season with the tagline ‘This season changes us forever’ – provoking many questions from eager fans.

The This Is Us Cast Will Return For Season 5
Since the series first burst onto screens in 2016, This Is Us has garnered international success and boasts a collection of prestigious awards; including wins at the Emmys and Golden Globes. The cast have attended the Emmy Awards alongside big names including Killing Eve star Jodie Comer.
This Is Us stars Chrissy Metz, Sterling K. Brown and Justin Hartley as siblings a.k.a. ‘The Big Three’ Kate, Randall and Kevin Pearson, Milo Ventimiglia as late father Jack Pearson, Mandy Moore as mother Rebecca Pearson, with Chris Sullivan as Kate’s husband Toby and Susan Kelechi Watson as Randall’s wife Beth.
The show also awarded the title of ‘Top Television Program’ by the American Film Institute.

What Do We Know About Season 5?
This Is Us will premiere on NBC on 27th October. The show will stream on Amazon Prime on 28th October, with new episodes to release every Wednesday after that!
Creator Dan Fogelman says that season 5 is all about new beginnings and ‘uplifiting moments’. He says:
‘I’m very excited about that, especially with where the world is right nowI would call it almost a rebirth that will come next season.
‘[There will be] a lot of new beginnings and particularly the words birth and rebirth are going to be a big thematic part of next season.’

The This Is Us Cast Will Tackle Covid-19 And Black Lives Matter ‘Head On’
In spite of the fact that the show tends to avoid real-life news, there have been reports that it will incorporate currents events such as the Coronavirus pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement into it.
Sterling K. Brown who plays Randall Pearson, revealed to People that:
‘It was as huge from a writer’s perspective as it was from mine. I think Randall offers such a unique perspective. Being a Black man raised in a white family, there’s a very specific prism through which he sees the world. I think the writers have captured it brilliantly.
‘Our first two episodes are outstanding. As long as we, as actors, are able to execute what the writing has provided us an opportunity to do, I think our fans will be very, very, very happy.’
