For many, birthdays this year were pretty much cancelled. If your birthday fell in March, April, May, June and even beyond, there wasn’t really anything you could do to celebrate!

Households weren’t able to mix, all the pubs and bars were closed and you couldn’t even see most of your family! Truth be told, we feel like this year shouldn’t even count towards our age…

However, pick your chins up off the floor (quite literally, we have definitely fallen victim to lockdown snacking) because there is a consolation prize in sight! For those with lockdown birthdays, many high street retail chains, restaurants and bars are offering some belated freebie gifts. Woohoo!

Here are the places with the perks!

    Greggs – A Free Treat

If you sign up to the Greggs Rewards scheme via the Greggs free app, you will be sent a voucher on your birthday to claim a sweet treat of your choice. This could include: a doughnut, cookie or any sweet treats costing up to £1 – and you don’t need to buy anything else with it!

As Greggs was closed for the majority of this year, the popular bakery chain has extended its birthday vouchers until the end of 2020; so you can still claim your treats now until the end of the year!

You can find more information about the Greggs deal here.
