Leonie McSorley Girlfriend: New Relationship Revealed

Reality star Leonie McSorley recently asked TOWIE’s Demi Sims to be her girlfriend. The young pair have been broadcasting their blossoming romance on social media, and seem to be utterly in love. Who is Leonie McSorley?

The 22 year old from Aberdeen made a name for herself on Ex On The Beach with twin sister Che. They appeared on the show back in 2017. Che’s ex from Ireland, Lee Moran, also appeared on the lineup.

The sisters made their telly debut on reality TV series Geordie Shore in 2015. They appeared in an episode where they had a steamy night with cast members Gaz Beadle and Scotty T.

Leonie and her sister are both models too. Her Instagram is full of absolutely stunning photos of herself, usually sporting pieces of lingerie featuring her gorgeous pink locks.

Who is Demi Sims?

Demi is the younger sister of TOWIE stars Chloe and Charlie Sims, as well as the cousin of Joey and Frankie Essex. She herself began her career on TOWIE in November 2018.  She is the first openly bisexual person to be on the show.

Demi also appeared on E4’s Celebs Go Dating where she met ex-girlfriend Megan Barton-Hanson who was on the fourth series of Love Island. The couple had a whirlwind romance, which had a turbulent end as Demi questioned Megan’s sexuality after she said the two had no sexual chemistry. Megan has since reached out to Demi to apologise, and the two are seemingly on good terms now.

When she isn’t on our screens Miss Sims is a makeup artist and social media influencer with an impressive 315 thousand followers on Instagram.

How did Leonie and Demi become official?

Demi already has an Insta highlight dedicated to girlfriend Leonie McSorley. It features the budding romance of the couple, with videos of them picnicking together, cuddling in bed, and how Leonie asked Demi to be her girlfriend.

Leonie arranged for a cookie to be made from DiscoBiscuitBakes with icing that read ‘will you be my girlfriend?’. She also bought a bunch of lilies, Demi’s favourite flowers, with a card that said ‘me and you always’. Demi posted a video of the two hugging, and stated ‘obviously I said yes’.

The pair seem absolutely smitten with each other. They have been posting plenty of public displays of affection-we can’t help but ship the beautiful couple!

What has Che said about the pairing?

Leonie and Che have appeared alongside each other throughout their careers so it is no surprise that Che has publicly commented on her sister’s new relationship. She took to Twitter to say:

“I am so proud of my sister you know, she was angry and confused for years and I thought it was to do with other things in our childhood, but I didn’t realise she was coming to terms with her sexuality too. Love her forever”

It is amazing to see Leonie get public support from her loved ones. She has obviously struggled to come to terms with her bisexuality. For her to find a beautiful relationship with someone who obviously makes her happy at a young age, shows that things are getting easier for the LGBT+ community.

With Demi and Leonie being so public about their new romance, it will hopefully make other young people feel like they too can publicly love anyone, no matter their gender.

We can’t wait to see what other adventures Demi and Leonie get up to. Hopefully the romance will continue for a long time yet!
