Ken Barlow Can Send Your Family A Virtual Hug For Their Birthday Present

If you’re a fan of the soaps – or even if you’re not – we all know Coronation Street actor William Roache who plays familiar face Ken Barlow.

And now, for anyone who is a fan of the Corrie regular, you can make their day by sending them a personalised video message, recorded by the man himself!

Having acted on the soap since the very beginning – way back in 1960, Roache has long been a fan favourite and has now signed up Celebrity Video Messages as a way to connect with his many fans.

Posting on social media last week, Celebrity Video Message proudly announced that the actor would be joining its long line-up of celebs along with a video of Roache explaining his reasons for taking part.

He said:

“People often come up to me and say, ‘Oh hello, would you give a good word to my girlfriend?’ or ‘Wish my mother a happy birthday!’ and you know something?

“I’ll always do it because I find it wonderful to be part of making somebody’s day.”

So, how does it work? The actor explained:

“If you want to do that, send a message to anybody about anything at all or about nothing at all if you want, say what you want me to say and then I’ll add some of my words to it and hopefully we’ll make somebody’s day.”
