You might remember this moment yourself. It’s in The Two Towers, just after Aragorn has been dragged off a cliff and is thought to have died.
Viggo, of course, wanted to do the scene for himself. Every precaution was taken, with divers going in beforehand to test the route.
Viggo also chipped a tooth during filming – he was a bit wild!
What they didn’t take into account was the weight of Viggo’s Aragorn costume, as well as his sword. When Viggo floated down, he was swiftly dragged under when he caught the current. It was a few moments before he resurfaced, describing it as a “scary” yet “interesting” experience. How crazy is that?
