What is Roman Kemp’s age?..
He was born on January 28th, 1993, thus making Roman Kemp’s age 27.
Roman was actually born in Los Angeles, California but grew up in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire.
His dad, Martin Kemp, is famous for being the bassist in Spandeau Ballet, as well as starring in Eastenders.
Roman’s mum is Shirlie Kemp, best known for being part of the band Wham! and the duo Pepsi & Shirlie.
It was actually George Michael, Wham! frontman, who introduced Martin and Shirlie. George also went on to be Roman’s godfather!
How has Roman Kemp’s age affected his career?..
At just fifteen years old he signed a record deal with Universal Music; under Mercury, he was able to work with various artists.
However, he was summoned by his mum! He stated:
‘My mum sat me down and asked what I wanted to do and I said I wanted to be a TV presenter. She said, “Well, how are you going to do that?” I said I didn’t know anyone in that industry.
‘She said, “Go out and find them then.” I worked with my sister on the side (photographer) to earn enough for the train fare to London and I went for it.
‘A lot of people think I had a leg-up in the industry, but it was never like that’.
One of his first presenting jobs was on The X Factor. He had his own segment as the social media reporter on the ITV2 show, The Xtra Factor, alongside Matt Edmondson and Rylan Clark-Neal.
Since then he has had numerous presenting jobs, such as the TV BAFTAs, Global Award shows and film premieres.
Before his career took off, he also modelled for the likes of Topman, Dropdead and ASOS whilst also being a cleaner at his local gym!
How did Roman get into radio?..
In an interview, his dad Martin said:
‘As a kid he [Roman] bought a little DJ kit and it became his hobby. It’s what he does now’.
Roman originally joined Capital Radio in 2014 as a presenter for their Sunday 6-9am show. He kept being promoted to different time slots until he got his best known role as the radio host of the Capital Breakfast show.
Originally, he just presented London’s breakfast show alongside Vick Hope and Sonny Jay, but in 2019 they were promoted to the new Capital National Breakfast show.
Who is his girlfriend?..
Roman’s girlfriend Anne-Sophie Flury is a neuroscientist and business owner.
Talking about how they met, Roman revealed:
‘We met when she posted a pair of shoes on Instagram. I liked them and then a week later I was on Tinder and it was the same girl.
‘And I was like: I’ve got to message her! So I messaged her on Instagram and within a week we met. It was fate’.
Anne-Sophie lived in Hong Kong for eight months of their relationship, with both of them racking up the air miles, they managed to make it work!

Roman went on to say:
‘We’re both very family-orientated so marriage and kids is a natural progression for us.
‘But before any of that, we want to focus on having fun, exploring the world and making memories.
How did they cope when Roman was in the jungle?..
Roman was part of I’m A Celebrity (2019 series) alongside Kate Garraway, Caitlyn Jenner and winner, Jacqueline Jossa.
Discussing how they would cope being apart for the whole of November 2019, he said:
‘She’ll probably love a break away from me. But she’s so supportive’.
In an interview with OK! Anne-Sophie stated how she was ‘proud’ to be his girlfriend.

Roman has indeed kept in contact with some of his former jungle mates.
For example, in January this year he interviewed Caitlyn Jenner and has also been seen on a double date with Anne-Sophie, James Haskell and his wife, Chloe Madeley!
