The 48-year-old star missed Sunday’s (19.01.20) episode of the ITV ice skating competition after she and Hamish “parted ways” as skating partners, but the supermodel returned to the training rink this week to prepare for the next episode.

In a statement, a spokeswoman for ITV confirmed:

‘We’re pleased to say that Caprice is back on the ice today in training and very much working towards returning to the show on Sunday night’.

As of the time of writing, it is not yet known who Caprice will be skating with in the absence of Hamish, but Dancing on Ice newbie Oscar Peter is reportedly in the running.

A reason for the pair’s parting has also not yet been confirmed, but sources claim Caprice felt Hamish was “pushing her too hard in training”.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, an insider said:

‘Caprice’s relationship with Hamish was harmonious at the start but as time went on they became more strained.

‘She felt he was pushing her too hard in training and Caprice started to struggle.

‘She felt he could have been more patient and they ended up having a big row.

‘In the end it became completely unworkable for them to carry on and after speaking with the bosses they called it quits. It was getting toxic so stopping the partnership was best for everyone’.

News of Caprice and Hamish’s professional split was announced by show host Holly Willoughby over the weekend.

    She said on the show:

‘Unfortunately Caprice and Hamish have parted ways and will not be skating this week. As you saw in our opening number, Hamish remains very much part of our professional team and we hope to have Caprice back on the ice next week’.
