In 1998, Jamie got hitched to former Eternal singer Louise Nurding. Unlike many other high-profile celebrity couples, the pair decided to have a small, intimate wedding. They married the same week they got engaged on a holiday in Bermuda.
Just 23 at the time, Louise told the Mail Online in 2017 that their wedding day had been ‘perfect’.

Jamie And Wife Louise Filed For Divorce After 18 Years Of Marriage
Jamie and Louise decided to call time on their 19 years of marriage in 2017, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’.
The couple kept the reasons behind their split private although Louise has spoken out about the couple’s relationship status.
She revealed to HELLO! that she would always love her ex-husband:
‘After 21 years together how could I not still love him? He’s the father of my boys. Jamie’s a great dad and is very proud that our sons love me so much. He has old-fashioned values and tells them to respect and love their mum.’

Louise has stressed that she and ex-husband Jamie Redknapp put sons Charley and Beau first and have remained close as they co-parent:
‘We have a great system co-parenting them between us. Our rule is that while one of us is working, the other is with them. We both want the kids all the time and encourage the other to go out so that we can have them. We share everything, too.
‘On Christmas Day we do the presents together, they’re from us both. Maybe this works now because neither of us is in a relationship, but I like to think it will always be like that.’
She also told This Morning host Eamonn Holmes:
‘My priority and his priority is our children and protecting them and keeping as much of it as private as possible and loving them and putting them first and that’s what we’re focusing on.’

‘I adore him and always will. Jamie was the absolute love of my life.
‘I guess I was happy to be invisible for a little while, but at the same time I felt I was becoming less and less of a person. And being less and less visible was kind of hard to take when I used to be a pop star.’

The ex-footballer told Metro that even though he tries to keep his kids out of the limelight, he says that he would be happy if that’s the life his sons were to chose.
‘I try my best to keep my kids as private as possible, but there are certain times when it’s a nice thing to be involved in.
‘I’d think it was great. As long as it’s the right way, and if he wants to do it and he’s passionate about it, I’d do everything I can to help him, my dad did the same with me.’
