AJ Pritchard Girlfriend might not be the scene as often since his Strictly partner, Saffron Barker, has come along- but, she’s still there.

Under The Spotlight
He’s constantly in the spotlight every time Strictly rolls around- do we remember the rumours surrounding him and partner Mollie King? He’s under scrutiny again this year with another blonde bombshell as his partner- this time, Youtube sensation, Saffron Barker.
Since the moment the pairing was announced, Strictly fans along with the media have speculated that they would become more than just dancing partners. It’s not exactly far-fetched, looking at the number of pairs that have fallen victim to the Strictly curse in the past.
The dancers seem to spend every waking minute together, learning and perfecting the steps for each week’s show. AJ and dance partner Saffron Barker also seem to spend their downtime together quite often too, judging by their social media posts.

Just Good Friends
Although the pair are clearly close and their chemistry strong, as can be seen in their dances, they are simply good friends. Perhaps the fact that Saffron is five years AJ’s junior, at just 19, keeps their friendship at just that. Oh, and the fact AJ is actually in a relationship…
The 24-year-old Ballroom professional is in a relationship with 22-year-old fellow dancer, Abbie Quinnen. The pair met during his ‘Get On The Floor’ tour in March 2019.

AJ Pritchard Girlfriend: Who Is Abbie?
Abbie is a performing arts student, studying at The Urdang Academy in Islington, London. She’s also managed by Apollo Artist Management, an agency with a number of TV and musical stars on its books.
Speaking of the early stages of their romance, AJ revealed:
“I took the whole cast out for dinner to say thank you, and then we went to a club. Abbie and I were talking a lot, and I was really attracted to her once I got to know her.”
Meeting on the job- sounds familiar to a certain someone else…

The Strictly star opened up about their first date:
“For our first official date we went for dinner, then I booked us a hotel in London. Because my apartment didn’t have any furniture at the time. That sound’s really bad, doesn’t it?”
Things then moved quite quickly:
“I took her on holiday to Greece. We’d been spending every single day together so it was natural, and in my head I felt like I didn’t have to ask. But Abbie said, ‘”So are you going to ask me then?” I was like, “OK, will you be my girlfriend?” And she said, “Oh yeah, I will.”

AJ Pritchard Girlfriend: Is She Worried About The Strictly Curse?
So, yes, AJ is in a relationship, despite the endless speculation. Of course the rumours haven’t gone unnoticed by Abbie, 23, who claims she doesn’t worry about the ‘Strictly curse’:
“I don’t worry about my relationship at all. AJ is very reassuring, which is really nice”.
And we can imagine he’d probably have to do quite a lot of that!
AJ also hit back at romance rumours:
“Everyone wants to know about my relationship status, but I’m very happy with Abbie. It gives me a different outlook on life as I’ve always worked hard, but now I also have a personal life, too.”

Since the show has kicked off again, he admits his relationship has been forced to take a bit of a backseat:
“Before ‘Strictly’, we were with each other every single day – Abbie basically lived at my flat. But I always throw myself into anything I do and Abbie knows that, because I did the exact same thing on my tour, so at the moment that means ‘Strictly’ 24/7. I do practise the choreography on Abbie before Saffron so she’s quite useful”.
