Everything You Need To Know About Keely Shaye Smith
Some might know her better as Pierce Brosnan‘s wife, but just who is Keely Shaye Smith?
Born in Vallejo, California in 1963, Keely Shaye Smith, has had quite the career as a journalist, author, television correspondent, glamour model and actress.
But where did she meet her husband Pierce? Who are their children? And what is her career?

What Has Her Career Been?
First coming on the scene in Huey Lewis’ music video ‘Stuck With You’, the song stayed at number one for three weeks.
After breaking into the scene, she then sashayed her way into acting as Valerie Freeman for one season on General Hospital in 1990.
As an environmental correspondent for The Home Show on ABC, Keely earned herself two Genesis Awards and a Special Achievement Award at the 1991 Environmental film festival.
Aside from that, Keely later served as correspondent for Unsolved Mysteries and a gardening expert for ABC’s Good Morning America. She even created an eco-friendly home and garden how-to show called Home Green Home.
She Became An Activist For The Environment
With a passion for the environment, Keely has dedicated her life to campaigns to save the earth and protesting factories and facilities being built .
Over the course of five years, Keely worked with the Natural Resources Defense Council and the International Fund for Animal Welfare to stop a proposed salt factory from being built at Laguna San Ignacio, Baja California Sur, Mexico.

Then in 2007, she fought the Cabrillo Port Liquefied Natural Gas facility. The facility was originally proposed to be built off the coast of Oxnard and Malibu.
In 2018, she continued her environmental work as she produced and directed the award winning, environmental documentary Poisoning Paradise; a film which demonstrates the threat of the increasing pollution which plagues Hawaii.
When Keely Shaye Smith Became Keely Shaye Brosnan
The couple met at a beach party in Mexico in 1994. Keely was there to conduct an interview with Ted Danson from Cheers when she ran into Pierce and reportedly hit it off immediately.
She recalls:
“He was captivating. Tall, dark, and handsome,
“Everything that everybody would immediately be attracted to. He had a mischievous sparkle in his eyes.”
Pierce and wife Keely Shaye Smith tied the knot in 2001 at Ballintubber Abbey in County Mayo, Ireland.
In a rather intimate ceremony, the couple had only 100 guests. It may have been small in size but it was lavish in nature as it featured fireworks, an ice sculpture and a seven-tier cake.
Allowing HELLO complete access to their wedding reception, the donated all the money to building schools in Tibet.

James Bond actor Pierce has never been shy in showing affection for his wife.
Speaking of her, he said:
“I love her vitality, her passion. She has this strength that I wouldn’t be able to live without. When Keely looks at me, I go weak.”
Who Are Their Children?
The couple have two sons together Paris Beckett Brosnan and Dylan Thomas Brosnan.
Both have now graduated high school and have had pretty successful modelling careers.
Dylan walked the runway in Milan for Dolce and Gabbana. Paris followed in his brothers footsteps also walking for Dolce and Gabbana as well as appearing on several magazine covers, including GQ and Vanity Teen.
