On 8th September 2016, Nick made the first move on Priyanka after sliding into her direct messages on Twitter. The couple later revealed to Vogue that he said:
‘I’m hearing from a few mutual friends that we should meet.’
Priyanka said that she responding saying:
‘My team can read this. Why don’t you just text me?’
From that moment onwards, the pair began texting each other.

26th February 2017: The Couple Meet At The Oscar’s After Party
They didn’t attend the Vanity Fair Oscars Party together but reportedly when Nick saw Priyanka, he got down on one knee in front a whole group of people and said:
‘You’re real. Where have you been all my life?’
However the Indian beauty didn’t have time to hang around as she needed to catch a flight to India.

One Week Before The 2017 Met Gala
The pair later met for drinks at the Carlyle Hotel in New York which also happened to be the first time Nick met Priyanka’s mother, after she invited him to her apartment.
Apparently the pair didn’t even kiss that night as Nick was trying to be ‘respectful’ with Priyanka’s mother around.

Only a month after it was officially confirmed that the pair were dating, Nick proposes to Priyanka! Allegedly the ex-Disney star waited until midnight after Priyanka’s birthday on 18th to pop the question.
Recalling the proposal, Nick said:
‘I said: Will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me? No joke—she took about 45 seconds. Forty-five seconds of silence.
The singer took the silence as positive, telling Priyanka:
‘I’m going to put this ring on your finger now unless you have any objections.’
