Gordon Ramsay – Net Worth: Just How Much Is He Worth?

Gordon Ramsay‘s net worth – could you guess how much the fiery British TV chef is worth?

Despite a rocky start to life with an abusive father, TV’s ‘sweariest’ chef has gone on to achieve great success – from opening multiple restaurants around the world to being awarded an OBE, he’s certainly earned plenty of dollar.

Although his fierce temper, cutting comebacks and a particular dislike for underdone scallops have earned him a reputation as TV’s angriest man, Gordon has proved to be a kind and sensitive soul too (we all remember the nicer, more genteel – yet completely unfamiliar – version of Gordon Ramsay we saw on Masterchef Junior)…

Of course, Ramsay’s on-screen life lacks no drama as he screams profanities into the faces of vulnerable, aspiring (but slowly crumbling) chefs, but his life off-screen is pretty interesting too…

Here are 6 things you didn’t know about the chef – including his (pretty hefty) net worth…

Gordon Ramsay’s net worth is $190 Million dollars

With hosting reality TV shows including Hell’s Kitchen, Masterchef, Masterchef Junior, Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares and a restaurant empire hosting a fair few (12 to be exact) Michelin star restaurants, as of 2019, the celebrity’s net worth is a cool $190 million dollars…

His Kids Sit In Economy

‘And fair f****** dos’ says the fiery (very rich) chef.

Ramsay revealed his tough stance last year, confirming that his four children sit in economy when they travel and he’ll be up front in first class. He explained:

‘They haven’t worked anywhere near hard enough to afford that. I worked my f****** arse off to sit that close to the pilot and you appreciate it more when you’ve grafted for it.”

Gordon Ramsay was born in Renfrewshire Scotland, brought up in Stratford Upon Avon and now lives in New York City – he’s come a LONG way!

His Daughter Is Climbing The Fame Ladder

The budding chef – just like her old man – launched a cooking programme on CBBC called Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch – nope, nothing to do with the super-powered kid Matilda!

Now on its fourth season, the show is still going strong and in 2017 she released her own cookbook: Matilda & The Ramsay Bunch: Tilly’s Kitchen Takeover. Of all the Ramsay kids, Matilda tops the charts as the biggest social presence.

His Bodyguards Are Absolutely Everywhere

Let’s face it – Ramsay’s a wanted man.

So, it’s no surprise that he’s always got a slew of bodyguards following him round. He’s not just your average TV host: his passion for cooking and, more significantly, cursing sets him apart from the Dermot O’Learys, Graham Nortons and Phillip Schofields (sorry Schofe, we still love you) of the presenting world.

As many viewers will be aware, Ramsay knows how to push his contestants (Hell’s Kitchen) buttons and sometimes, things can turn nasty. So, there’s been a number of occasions where some hot-tempered young chef (often a meat-head from Texas called something like Rocko) tries to take things into his own hands.

Gordon Doesn’t Just Like Fine-dining In His Restaurants

Gordon loves his food to be served to perfection. But believe it or not, his favourite midnight snack is beans on toast.

But it’s not just any old beans on toast. This is the real deal. His favourite night time snack is baked beans on grilled sourdough, topped with garlic and hot sauce. Oh and it’s finished off with a duck egg and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. If that isn’t middle class then I don’t know what is.

Ramsay’s Had Surgery

The popular chef has had some blemishes removed from his face via cosmetic surgery. Although he wasn’t ever embarrassed himself by it, he was encouraged into surgery by his children and by the media. He explained:

“The lines were pretty horrific, like Scarface. I was never embarrassed by it, but my children helped me become more paranoid about it. You’ve seen the articles: craggy face, map of Wales, ugly, deflated rugby ball. So, there’s only so much sh*t you want to take.”

Could this be the first time EVER we’ve felt sorry for Gordon Ramsay?
