Colleen was 20 when she was hitchhiking from Oregan to California to attend a birthday party; she got in the car with Cameron Hooker, who then put a knife to her throat and kidnapped her, taking her to the home he shared with his wife.

Colleen was kept in a wooden box 23 hours a day under the couple’s bed – she was only released from the box to be raped and tortured. Due to her ordeal, she later became known as ‘The Girl In The Box’.
