4. Light pink.

This is a healthy colour. It’s a good sign if your tongue is this colour.

5. Red.

Having a red tongue is a sign of infectious diseases and inflammatory processes.

6. Blue.

Having a blue tongue can mean you have a kidney disease. This could be a warning that your fluids aren’t circulating and it could be a sign of depression as well. You should eat more foods containing garlic, ginger and coriander and cut out cold foods like lemon, melon or cucumber.

7. Pale colour.

Having a pale coloured tongue can mean you have a vitamin and nutrition deficiency. This could mean your blood is lacking in haemoglobin – the iron-containing protein found in red blood cells. You will usually feel very tired and lethargic, so make sure you eat a well-balanced diet containing lots of iron which can be found in meat.
