9. Helen Worth (Gail McIntyre in Coronation Street) – THEN
Gail McIntyre (also Potter, Tilsley, Platt, Hillman and Rodwell) has been a part of the soap for over 45 years now, which makes her the third longest-serving character on the show!
As you can probably already guess by the amount of names she’s had over the years, Gail’s story lines often centre around her love life -or should we say, lack of it…
Seriously, if you’ve ever considered yourself unlucky in love all you need to do is take a look at Gail’s relationship history: her first hubby was fatally stabbed, she divorced her second husband after her finding out her 13-year-old daughter was pregnant (not to him, don’t worry!) and her third man turned out to be a serial killer!
It’s safe to say things have been pretty wild for Gail, but she’s not going anywhere. Actress Helen Worth is still content with her role which over the years she has collected a number of awards for. Oh and we should mention, she seems to have found the man of her dreams in the form of Trevor Dawson who she married in 2013!
