3. Julie Goodyear (Bet Lynch in Coronation Street) – THEN
Bet Lynch quickly became one of our fave characters on Corrie when she appeared on the show way back in May 1966!
During her time on the cobbles, Lynch worked as a barmaid in the Rovers Return Inn before becoming the sassy landlady we all know and love…
But unfortunately, after being unable to pay her debts, the character was forced to flee Weatherfield in 1995 – although we did see her briefly return in 2002 and 2003!
When her time on the best loved soap opera came to an end, actress Julie Goodyear signed a deal for Shredded Wheat commercials and took on a DJ job at Manchester Talk Radio.
In recent years, the star appeared as a contestant in the tenth series of Celebrity Big Brother.
