Charlie was a palaeontology professor who originally started off as Joey’s girlfriend but soon caught the eye of Ross, a fellow palaeontology professor with whom she shared a common interest.
Ross and Charlie started a relationship after Charlie ended things with Joey on the basis that they didn’t have as much in common. This was during the time that Joey had begun to have feelings towards Rachel but was conflicted due to his friendship with Ross.
Ross and Charlie continued to have a brief relationship until Charlie’s ex-boyfriend Benjamin came back into the picture. Realising that she still had feelings for Benjamin, she went back to him and that was the last we saw of her!
Actress Aisha Tyler has since taken up roles in acting, directing and presenting. She has been hosting the American version of the the improvisational comedy show Whose Line Is It Anyway? since 2013.
