2. Buy secondhand gifts
We all know how expensive it can be having to buy for the whole family and friends!
The best and most affordable way to do this – according to full-time working mother Jane Berry – is to buy second-hand gifts.
She says that spending a fortune on new presents is not necessary:
‘Consider buying secondhand toys. Small children especially really won’t notice or care. Facebook Marketplace is really good and local charity shops are worth a look too. You can also use Schpock and Gumtree.’
3. Buy reduced food and freeze
Another great way to keep the bank balance afloat is to plan ahead. Blogger Fiona Hawkes, 30, suggests buying discounted food items and freezing them in preparation for the big day!
