2. A Storm Summoning Witch Was Sighted In Scotland!
In the late 16th century, Agnes Sampson was the healer and midwife of a small Scottish village, but one Halloween night in 1590 she was seen attending a witches’ Sabbath hosted by none other than…Satan!
Sampson is said to have summoned a storm intended to sink Queen Anne’s ship and while the ship didn’t go down, it did force Anne to postpone her trip. The following year, the witch became the first to burned at the stake as part of the North Berwick Witch Trials.
