What do we want? Ask Mel Gibson! When do we want- wait what?

As the millennial arrived and we weren’t all wiped out by YK2 (hooray!), Mel arrived on our big screens again in a glossy rom com.

He starred in ‘What Women Want’, in which his character is accidentally electrocuted and can miraculously hear women’s thoughts.

Gibson managed to play two lothsarios in one year, as he voiced Rocky in ‘Chicken Run’.

The following decade saw Gibson put in myriad appearances on screen, from ‘The Singing Detective’ (2003), to Officer Cox on ‘Complete Savages’ TV Series (2004-2005), to join the star studded cast of ‘The Expendables 3’ in 2014.

Gibson’s IMDB profile reveals that in 2011 he appeared in a mysterious and largely low profile short film, written by and co-starring Jamie Foxx. This was around the time Foxx was championing a young undiscovered Ed Sheeran, so he certainly had a lot of irons in the fire.

Gibson’s most recent well known work was in ‘Daddy’s Home 2’, appearing as Mark Wahlberg’s father. Lucky he got in that practise of playing a returning father in ‘Fairytale’ all those years before’.
