When in Rome – Derek Lee Nixon
Ah, imagine a world where you’re on a fashion design internship in Rome, eating pasta and pizza all day, exploring the historical culture. Well, this happened in the hit film When in Rome. Of course, it doesn’t happen so smooth sailing – there’s falling in love with the boss’s nephew, and of course, another jealous boss trying to sabotage the programme.
The wind is blowing, we’re off to eat pizza – it’s a good day!
It’s the classic Romeo and Juliet vibe – girl meets boy. Boy meets girl. Boy is the boss’s nephew and things suddenly get complicated. This was the case for character’s Leila (Ashley Olsen) and Ryan (played by Derek Lee Nixon).

When in Rome was Derek’s big break and he gained notoriety as a result. Not surprising really.
So young, so naive…
Following his success in the movie, Derek went on to star in numerous Hollywood films including Hallettsville (with Gary Busey), The Lights and The Jerk Theory, which also starred Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Josh Henderson!

His Television credits include guest starring on Boston Public and The Andy Dick Show. Unfortunately, Derek hasn’t been in anything since 2011. Sad times.
