Let’s just agree right from the off: the Grand High Witch doesn’t behave fantastically in this movie, but she’s pretty badass.
7. Anjelica Hust-on it
The GHW is played by Anjelica Huston, who appeared the very next year in ‘The Adams Family’ as Morticia Adams.

Typecast as sexy, witchy types, millennial everywhere can still only feel weirdly attracted to (but slightly terrified of) her. It’s confusing.
8. Ironically, this is what I look like *without* seven hours of makeup
Huston’s make up took a staggering seven hours to apply, and an exhausting five hours to remove.

We get to see her monster makeup when Huston casually pulls her face off, all whilst facilitating the witch conference like a boss. I’m not down for turning children into mice, but her demanding “maximum results” is some board room inspo for the ages.
9. The Shining example of a good BF?
During filming Huston was sent roses every day by then boyfriend Jack Nicholson- I guess that’s the treatment you get when you demand maximum results from bae. Despite this romantic treatment, she went on to reveal his possessive tendencies in her second memoir, ‘Watch Me’.
