1. Every Season is connected
Yes, each season of A.H.S is a new story within itself, but although this is true, it has recently been confirmed that each of these stories are connected and seem to take place inside the same messed-up cinematic universe.
Who knew these seasons were linked?
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, co-creator Ryan Murphy said:
“There’s definitely a rhyme or a reason and a connectedness to all of these seasons, but in the same way, they’re standalones, which is the fun of it.”

Unsurprisingly, A.H.S fans across the world jumped on this news and started to piece together the various story-lines into cohesive theories, some of which Murphy claimed were spot on.
Ryan Murphy drops hints about American Horror Story
The first hint that the seasons may be linked was in season four, Freak Show, when actress Lily Rabe came back to play Sister Mary Eunice, a character previously seen in the second season, Asylum.

Since then, little Easter eggs have been subtly placed in the following seasons to excite the audience, however, never has the connection been so glaringly detailed than what we expect to see in Apocalypse.
Apocalypse will be a cross-over season
The eighth season has been created as a crossover between Murder House and Coven, including many familiar faces from those two seasons such as Madison Montgomery (Emma Roberts), Tate Langdon (Evan Peters), and the Harmon family.
