Obviously, having a cousin like Boss Hogg has its perks and this is one of them.

He was there to be Boss Hogg’s right hand man.
He also seemed to have a huge crush on Daisy Duke and even made an advance at her once.

Perhaps he was letting the power of his badge get to him. Although, that’s not really his style.

Well, he WAS tricked into thinking that Daisy was in love with him. So you can’t really blame him.
