5. Who actually came up with the idea for the show?

What is now one of the most popular reality TV shows in the world actually began with a conversation between Kris and her good friend Deena Katz (the casting director for Dancing with the stars), on an ordinary, quiet Saturday night in front of the TV.

She turned to Kris after experiencing the craziness that was the Kardashian/Jenner household.

“This is a reality show — I think you should really talk to Ryan Seacrest.”

Before the show was aired back in 2007, producers were left scratching their heads wondering what on earth to name the show.

One of the many ideas was “Kardashians: Krazy with a K” – before Farnaz Farjam, the vice president of programming at Bunim/Murray, accidentally came up with the name.

She turned up to a meeting without any new ideas for the name of the show -she said she was “too busy keeping up with the Kardashians” as her excuse – it was an instant hit.
