4. She failed some of her exams in school.
As a child, Diana was homeschooled by a tutor at her parents home in Norfolk.

At 12, she was sent to a boarding school where she remained until she was 16. After failing her O-Levels twice, she left West Heath School; Diana’s father enrolled her in a Swedish finishing school – but she insisted on coming home after just a few weeks.

5. As a child she wanted to be a ballerina.
Diana’s love of classical dance led her to become a huge supporter of the English National Ballet.

She studied ballet as a child, but like most, her life pulled her into a different direction.
Diana’s ballet teacher Anne Allan said:
“She had dance in her soul. I realized the pure enjoyment that it gave her. She loved the freeness of being able to move and dance… I could see it helped to alleviate her emotional life.”
Diana was too tall to become a ballet dancer…
However, Diana literally outgrew ballet which meant she had to give up on her dreams. You don’t usually see many 5″10 ballet dancers…
