Robert Reed played the role of the head of the family, Mike Brady.

Robert sadly passed away aged 59 in 1992 due to colon cancer and HIV. He was a well known actor from before ‘The Brady Bunch’ due to his role on the popular legal drama, ‘The Defenders’. After the show, he went of to more success earning three Emmy nominations for his roles in ‘Medical Centre’, ‘Rich Man, Poor Man’ and ‘Roots’.
