We’ve all followed the cast‘s love lives on the show, but we just want to know who the Grey’s Anatomy couples are in real life!
From episode one we were all absolutely hooked with the life of Meredith Grey and everyone around her – especially McDreamy *sigh*.
Whilst this was known as a medical drama, you can quite easily place it in the ‘romantic drama’ category just as easily with so many love stories occurring throughout the whole of this programme.
But, that didn’t mean that these actors and actresses didn’t have people at home after a long day of filming.
Thanks to Shonda Rhimes we have all been following the show adamantly since 2005. So, who are the cast of Grey’s Anatomy dating in real life?

Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey) And Chris Ivery
Ellen, who plays the role of Meredith Grey in this amazing show, is one of the highest paid television actors of all time. after having signed a massive $20 million annual contract late last year.
Ellen met her husband Chris Ivery back in 2003 in a grocery store, started dating and later got married in 2007.
Just two years later the pair gave birth to their child, Stella and in 2014, they brought their second child into the world, Sienna, with the help of a surrogate mother.
Just two years later they welcomed their third child into the world: Eli Christopher.

Jessica Capshaw (Arizona Robbins) And Christopher Havigan
Jessica Brooke Capshaw Gavigan plays the role of Arizona Robbins in Grey’s Anatomy, being introduced to the show in season five.
Did you know, she was only meant to appear in three episodes originally but her contract was extended?
She married husband Christopher Gavigan back in 2004 on the 22nd of May in her East Hampton estate owned by her family.
The pair have welcomed four beautiful kids into the world. Luke in 2007, Even in 2010, Poppy in 2012 and Josephine in 2016!

Sarah Drew (April Kepner) And Peter Lanfer
Sarah Drew made her first appearance as April Kepner back in 2009 where she joined in the sixth season.
Sadly, it was announced back in the March of this year she would be leaving the series and her time with Grey’s Anatomy came to a dramatic end.
Sarah Drew married her husband Peter Lanfer, a lecturer at UCLA, back in June 2002.
The pair waited a while before starting a family, welcoming their first child Micah Emmanuel on the 18th of January, 2012 and their second child, Hannah Mali Rose in 2014.

Patrick Dempsey (Derek Shepherd) And Jilian Fink
McDreamy was voted number one on BuddyTV’s ‘TV’s Sexiest Men of 2011’ and we all know why!
In the real world, he is definitely still McDreamy… but also Patrick Dempsey has been married twice.
Back in 1987 he married his manager, Rochelle Parker when he was aged just 21 and she was 48 years old but the pair divorced on the 26th of April, 1994.
He has been happily married to Jillian Fink, a hairstylist and a makeup artist since 1999 and the two now have three children.
Sadly, in 2015 she filed for divorce but thankfully they managed to reconcile and the divorced was called off the following year!

Justin Chambers (Alex Karev) And Keisha Chambers
Justin is not only an actor, but he’s a fashion model too, representing the likes of Armani, Dolce & Gabbana and Calvin Klein.
Justin married Keisha Chambers, who was a model agency booker at the time after meeting each other when he was modelling and the pair now have five children.
Isabella was born in 1994, twins Maya and Kaila born in 1997, Eva born in 1999 and Jackson who was born in 2002!

Sandra Oh (Cristina Yang) – Divorced
Canadian Sandra Oh has been on the show since 2005. She sadly left the show back in 2014 and we were all so upset!
She is currently in the new BBC America drama Killing Eve, (beloved by millions as we all stare hooked on what will happen next.)
Sandra Oh was married to Alexander Payne but divorced the filmmaker after two years. The divorced was finalised in 2006.
Currently, it seems as though Sandra is single and ready to mingle.

Chandra Wilson (Miranda Bailey) And Anonymous Other-Half
Chandra has starred on Grey’s Anatomy since the series started back in 2005.
She has been nominated four times for the Emmy for Best Supporting Actress which is an amazing achievement.
Chandra Wilson has been in an extremely serious relationship since the 90s, but her private life is definitely kept private.
They have three children together; Sarina, their daughter, was born back in 1992; Joylin, their second daughter was born in 1998 and their son Michael was born in 2005!

Sara Ramirez (Callie Torres) And Ryan Debolt
Not only is she an actress, but she is also a singer and songwriter and has actually released a single that made it into the Billboard 200 back in 2011.
She got engaged to Ryan DeBolt, her long time partner, back in 2011 and the pair tied the knot on the 4th of July, 2012 in New York. The ceremony looked beautiful in a private beachside location!
Back in the October of 2016 she came out as bisexual and said that her decision to come out was natural and organic.
She also campaigns extensively for LGBT rights.

Jesse Williams (Jackson Avery) And Arya Drake-Lee
Jesse was in a long-term relationship with girlfriend Aryn Drake-Lee and the pair decided to tie the knot in September, 2002.
The pair have two children together, but sadly Arya filed for divorce in April 2017.
Since the divorce, he has been in a relationship with Minka Kelly but sadly they broke up at the start of this year.

Kevin McKidd (Owen Hunt) And Arielle Goldrath
Kevin is most widely known for his role of Owen Hunt in Grey’s Anatomy however, he has starred in a vast range of different films and television programmes.
Back in 1999 he married his first wife Jane Parker and together, they have two children – Iona and Joseph.
Sadly, the pair announced their divorce in July 2016 and this was finalised five months later in December.
His second wife, Arielle Goldrath, is a chef and they got married earlier this year!

Katherine Heigl (Izzie Stevens) And Josh Kelley
Katherine got engaged back in 2006 to Josh Kelley and married a year later.
Two years later the couple adopted a daughter, Naleigh, from South Korea – the same birthplace as Katherine’s adoptive sister, Meg.
In the April of 2012 they made the decision to adopt their second child, Adalaide.
Then in June of 2016 the couple announced they were pregnant and on the 20th of December 2016 their son, Joshua, was born!
