“And so the lion fell in love with the lamb…”

When seventeen-year-old Bella Swan makes the selfless decision to move from her sunny Arizona home to the small, drizzly town of Forks, Washington, to live with her father and the town’s Chief of Police (what’s a teen film without a Police officer?) Charlie, she couldn’t have foreseen just how much her life was about to change…

Fortunately for Bella, her new high-school – home of the Spartans – is more welcoming than she could ever have anticipated and it isn’t long before she makes friends.

Her interest is peaked when she spots the mysterious (and devilishly attractive, might we add) Cullen siblings; although unfortunately for Bella, her first meeting with Edward Cullen doesn’t go exactly how she envisioned it to.

Despite their first interaction leading to Edward’s week-long disappearance, upon his return the pair quickly form a ‘friendship’ – and the rest (as they say) was history…

Twilight first appeared on our screens almost a decade ago, after Stephenie Meyer’s 2005 novel of the same name took the world by storm. The five part fantasy series paved the way for a new dawn in young adult romance novels, with the inevitable teenage girl hysteria making the series one of the most successful of our time.

The relationships among the characters are nothing if not complex, which got us wondering how the cast have fared in real life. On that note, join us as we take a look at some of the real life partners of the Twilight cast…

Robert Pattinson

Despite having previously starred in Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, it took playing an ancient vampire for Robert Pattinson to become a household name.

While many fans fantasised about meeting a vampire of their own (guilty!), it’s safe to say Edward’s life wasn’t as glamorous as it first seemed.

While Edward’s relationship with Bella made perfect sense there was still the issue of the –mostly human– Jacob Black trying to win her heart.
