When we see adverts on tv, it’s often the catchy jingles we remember as much as the products themselves. We didn’t have meerkats or Johnny Vegas and his monkey back in the day but, nonetheless, there were some pretty memorable ones all the same.
Cast your minds back as we take a trip down memory lane!
1 Kia Ora
“Kia-Ora…it’s too orange for crows..it’s just me and my dog! We all adore a Kia-Ora.”
Funny, memorable advert with music by Caramba.
2 Fosters Lager
Paul Hogan starred as a tourist in Edinburgh. He talks about how friendly the girls are!
One even showed me her tattoo after 5 minutes , he says.
3 Birdseye Steak Grills
Remember the workers in a van, wondering what to have for tea, ‘Will it be chips or jacket spuds, will it be salad or frozen peas?’
They used the tune of Que Sera Sera, Whatever Will Be, Will Be – that advert really stuck in my head!
4 Shake ‘n’ Vac
Everyone sing along – you all remember the words – ‘You do the shake ‘n’ vac and put the freshness back’.
Was it really that long ago – I still belt this out when I’m hoovering!
